Center for Transforming Lives is currently seeking aPRN Residential Care Specialist for the women's Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing Programs for the weekend,shifts vary depending on coverage needed.
The shift for this position is 12am to 8am five days a week.
The Residential Care Specialist will be responsible for interacting and supporting the women and their children with trauma informed care as well as providing mediation or crisis intervention between families or crisis. Residential Care Specialist will monitor all the women and children as they enter and exit the facility; ensure program operations and expectations are enforced; ensure the safety of all family members in the program; hold families accountable for completing chores; answer telephones, and ensure rooms are ready for new families.
Qualified candidates have a minimum of a High School Diploma is required; Associates Degree is preferred.
A minimum of one year experience in childcare and positive guidance of youth in a child placing agency, residential, or professional setting.
At least one year experience working with women and families in crisis, people who are or were previously homeless.
Knowledge and the application of trauma informed care.
Experience working with various mental health diagnoses and/or recovering from substance/alcohol abuse.
Experience working with individuals in transitional/permanent supportive housing.
