The Center for Transforming Lives Early Head Start is seeking an experienced Health Specialist to join our fast-paced growing team.
SUMMARY
The Health Specialist will support Early Head Start staff and community childcare partners in adhering to the Head Start Program Performance Standards. This person will report to the Health Coordinator. The Health Specialist will work directly with the Health Manager to ensure overall health, mental health and nutrition/food service activities of the EHS grant; including monitoring, tracking and assuring confidentiality of health records; and will enter related information to ChildPlus for the purpose of tracking, monitoring, and reporting related to health and nutrition services.
REQUIREMENTS
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Health, Nursing, Public Health, social services or like degree. Education must be combined with at least one year of experience in Health Services, preferably in a Head Start environment. Bilingual highly desirable. Working knowledge of local community resources in specialty area. Eligible for Texas driver’s license.
