Our Early Head Start program provides home visits to women from pregnancy through 6-weeks postpartum. Families in the program receive prenatal
education, support for a healthy pregnancy, are encouraged to attend parent workshops and group socializations that provide pre- and
post-natal information, resources and a sense of community.
We recognize parents are the first and most important teacher in their child’s life. Our Home-Based program option is designed to educate parents to be their childrens’ first teachers. Each family works with a home visitor that meets at-home once a week and attends bi-monthly socializations to share experiences with other parents.
Our program provides a
warm, welcoming environment where infants (6-weeks to 3-years) can grow from a bundle of joy to a bundle of curiosity. Center for Transforming Lives primary caregivers
are focused on creating experiences and opportunities that invite exploration and support the rapid and important development that is occurring in a child’s first year.
Our program for toddlers utilizes hands-on exploration and social interaction in safe, engaging surroundings to help your 18-month-old to 3-year-old learn about his or her expanding world. Through the guidance of our experienced caregivers, toddlers enjoy learning experiences that promote their blossoming independence and social skills, and foster self-confidence. Designed to adapt to each child’s age and stage, this program promotes emotional, physical, social and intellectual growth in a fun, engaging environment.
Our Pre-K program (3 to 5-years-old) is filled with exploration, and discovery, where active and enthusiastic children can refine and expand their skills and knowledge. Through intentional teaching practices, purposefully-designed learning environments, and enriched activities, teachers ensure preschoolers have joyful, appropriate, and meaningful learning experiences that lead to success in school and in life. Incorporating STEM components helps children develop their critical thinking skills. Our Frog Street curriculum helps young learners grow into confident students.
Early Head Start and Head Start children and their families receive high-quality education, along with physical and mental health services, nutrition support, and intensive case management coordinated by full-time Family Advocates and Content Area Specialists.
