For more than one hundred years, the Center for Transforming Lives (CTL) has given participants and their families the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty. Each year, CTL works with over 3,000 people from more than 1,000 families in Tarrant County to provide comprehensive services no matter where they are on their journey from poverty to prosperity. CTL's services are trauma-informed, two-generational, and incorporate best practices rooted in nationally backed research to ensure women and children achieve long-term success.
Center for Transforming Lives has an immediate opening in our growing Housing Services program for a Rapid Rehousing Case Manager.
Come be a part of an innovative team that is ‘building better futures’ by doing ‘whatever it takes’ to create success for women and children experiencing homelessness through an ‘in her shoes’ approach. The Lead Residential Care Specialist position supervises Residential Care Specialists assigned to Emergency Shelter and Transitional Housing On-Site residential programs (TH-OSR). The Lead Residential Care Specialist is also responsible for monitoring the milieu and interactions between program participants, activities within the facility, room preparation, and timely submission of work orders. Build safe, trusting relationships with program participants and exercise appropriate boundaries. Be knowledgeable of and responsive to the multitude of issues program participants face such as victimization, homelessness, poverty, substance use/abuse, and domestic/intimate partner violence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related field. Two years of experience working with families experiencing complex traumas such as homelessness, poverty, substance abuse, various forms of victimization and mental health issues. Experience in the area of social services and in-depth knowledge of available community resources is required.
